Charleston on my Mind

Sorry I have been so absent from the blog and Instagram this week! It has been a dreary and cold week here in South Carolina and I was in bed all week! ‘Tis the season for colds I suppose! On Friday I started feeling a little better and found the strength to force myself out of bed. Saturday morning was filled with retail therapy at Target and then the spur of the moment decision to head to Charleston. I thought the air felt crisp in Columbia, but the breeze off the water in Charleston was freezing!

Charleston never disappoints! The cobblestone streets, the carriage rides, the pastel colors, the historic feel, and of course the SHOPPING! Charleston is such a picturesque town. I sure would not mind taking residence there. I, of course, had to visit Rainbow Row and take pictures in this secret alleyway I saw on Pinterest. It is safe to say I will be going back to Charleston in the near future and luckily my school is only an hour and a half away!

So keep in mind when I got dressed on Saturday morning I was not expecting to find myself wandering the streets of downtown Charleston. If I had known I would have dressed a little cuter and a whole lot warmer! I paired a tan corduroy skirt from Urban Outfitters with a navy blue short sleeve Cynthia Rowley shirt. For my outer layer, I wore my navy Anorak jacket. I accessorized with a tan scarf that was a $6 steal on Amazon, Clarks Wallabies, and my Michael Kors gold and enamel watch. This outfit was simple and comfy for all the walking we did. If you cannot get in touch with me I may be running away to Charleston! xoxo
