Empire State of Mind

My first day in New York was spent traveling around my sister’s apartment in Brooklyn. The weather was a little on the warm side so I decided this lightweight dress from urban outfitters would pair nicely with a pair of blue denim heels from target. A trip to New York would be impossible without my Kate Spade cross body purse and matching Kate Spade sunglasses. After paying a visit to a few bodegas and townie places, we arrived at the cutest little coffee shop called Gather.

At gather, my sister and I traded our shopping bags for hot mochas. They were to die for! As you can see in the picture, I added some accessories to my outfit. Pictured is a necklace of the London skyline my sister purchased for me during her recent trip. My earrings are thin gold hoops that were found at Monkees of Fredericksburg. Not pictured on my left wrist is a lat and lo bracelet with the coordinates of my hometown, a handmade Ethiopian bracelet that matches my best friend, and a brown leather and rose gold Daniel Wellington watch.

This is my first trip to New York so the packing proved to be a challenge. Luckily, I took the train so bags were not an issue. Not to mention, I have had no trouble finding clothes to drool over and buy here in the Big Apple.
